In Esther 4:14 Mordecai said to Esther, “…and who knoweth whether thou art come to the kingdom for such a time as this?”
I believe in the church we have heard this scripture so many times that it has become cliché. “Cliché” means “something that has become overly familiar or commonplace.” We’ve said it so much we don’t even believe it about ourselves anymore. But nonetheless, it is still true!
The NT is filled with men and women, who are just like you and I, that invaded this world with the Kingdom of God. Whatever your role is, whatever your station in life, YOU are IMPORTANT! THIS is the moment for you to cast aside all fear, all worry and intimidation and advance the Kingdom of God!
Before Esther could do anything after she was told this by Mordecai, she fasted and prayed. Sometimes we try to just run out and do things that the Lord never asked us to do. We fail and then we accuse God of not backing us up! But God did back up Esther. She was called according to His plan and His purpose. She sought His face and when He sent her, she responded.
Chapter 5 says that on the third day (that is a word all by itself!), she “put on her royal apparel and stood in the inner court of the king’s house…”! After spending time in His presence she was dressed in royal apparel! In His glorious presence is the ONLY place that you receive royal apparel! Christian Dior has nothing at all on the Lord!! When He dresses you…you are DRESSED!
It was after spending time in His presence that she received favor. How can you go out without the favor of God? How can you go without being sent by Him? Do not act alone. Jesus said that He did nothing outside of what the Father told Him to do. All fear and intimidation melt away in His glory.
Esther received the need, spent time in His presence, was robed in full royal array and then accomplished what God had called her to do since before she was in her mother’s womb. Oh Esther paid a huge price to get there. And so will you. But there is nothing as glorious as being in His presence and knowing that you are doing the will of the One who sent you!
THIS is your moment! You know the need. All you have to do is look around you. Go into His glorious presence, shake off the world and all the cares that try to come on you and SEEK HIS FACE. When He is ready, He will robe you with glorious royal apparel and YOU will change the world!!
